Appointed 2nd Sergt of Co H 59th Regt Fa Inf May 6 1862. And
to 1st Sergt July 2 1863. The last roll on file, for Feb
1865, shows him on furlough. Pension records show he was at
Salisbury N.C. returning to command at the close of war.

a pribate in Co H, 59th Regt. Ga Inf May 6 1862. Admitted to
General Hospital #9 at Richmond Va July 13 1863. Wounded and
captured Knoxville Tenn Nov 29 1863. Appears as a patient in
General Field Hospital, 9th Army Corps, Knoxville Tenn with
remarks: "Ball passed through left knee joint, amputation of
lower third of thigh by Dr Wilder, Acting Medical Director,
9th A.C. Exchanged." Died in service.

Anderson, John - Private. Appears on a regimental return for
Sept 1862, as transferred from 10th Battn. Ga Inf Sept 1
1862, but name does not appear on rolls of said battalion.
Admitted to General Hospital #9 at Richmond Va July 13 1863.
Rolls of U.S.A. General Hospital at Chattamooga Tenn bear
remark: "Feb 1 1864, Field Hospital." No later record.

wounded in right leg and lungs at Ft Harrison Va Oct 4 1864.
He was admitted the same date to Jackson Hospital at
Richmond Va and furloughed there for 30 days Oct 23 1864. At
home on wounded furlough close of war. (Born in Ga Nov 26
1845; died in Marion Co Ga Oct 26 1905.)
