Henson, Director Veterans Service Office Atlanta, Ga. Re: Mrs. M.E. Benson, widow of I.W. Benson, Marion Co. Ga. Dear Sir: Application of the above widow for pension was approved by you June 29th; placing her name permanently upon the rolls in her own right as of May 1st 1933; also that as widow of the deceased pensioner she is to receive balance of April 1933 unpaid pension also whatever should be paid on the unpaid balance of 1930 pensions. This widow is going to make her home in Schley County, Ga., with a daughter; and has requested a transfer be granted her transferring her to Schley County. As pay rolls already in your office for May and June pensions, and her name not appearing on lists prepared for Schley County covering those months, before granting her request, thought best to advise with you. If all payments had been made to date, and transfer asked for to take effect in future and future pay rolls of this office to not carry her name, and the rolls of Schley to carry instead, then would know what to do; but with unpaid balances behind; am at a loss and would appreciate your advising in the matter before granting her request.
