The Marion County Patriot June 7, 1895
Marion County Patriot - June 7, 1895, Vol. XIX, No. 26

Fruit Shipping

Mr. H. Stevens is now in the fruit shipping business and ships something nearly
every day to New York. He buys the fruit on the trees and gathers it himself in
order to get it in the proper stage for shipping. Farmers who have any nice
varieties of peaches, plums, pears or any other kinds of fruit to sell should
see Mr. Stevens and get his prices on fruit on the trees.

Bicycle Meet

There will be a bicycle meet at Americus today in which a number of amateur
wheelmen will enter for the prizes, which will be a gold watch, gold medals,
gold head cane and other articles. Lelius Blue will represent Buena Vista in
the race, and will ride a No. 10, 22 pound Monarch, which are sold by the
PATRIOT Store in Buena Vista.
