Fire Destroys Buena Vista Cotton Warehouse

The brick warehouse of George R. Lowe, at Buena Vista, was entirely destroyed
by fire Wednesday with its small contents of cotton and one carload of jute
bagging store there.

The fire was discovered about 3 o’clock Wednesday morning and was probably due
to accident as the origin was not known at the time.

The building was one brick and contained only twelve bales of cotton,
fortunately as the crop movement is not yet on in that locality. The building
was insured for $6,000 which not its full value. The carload of bagging was
also covered by insurance.

The fire was confined to the warehouse building, only the gaunt bare walls of
which were standing yesterday.
