The chair will cost about $25.00, have rubber wheels and be a great blessing to a good woman. Miss Hayes has been a cripple since childhood, unable to take a step on her feet, but in spite of this, she is known as a noble Christian character, and has a heart tender and charitable towards any and all who need sympathy. It certainly should be a pleasure to anyone to contribute something to her comfort. The Marion County Patriot, No. 16 April 15, 1904 Page Eight Rabbit Items Miss Mattie Hays, had presented to her last week a rolling chair by her many friends which we hope will be of great service to her. We think this is one of the nicest gifts that could have been made because it is something she has needed for a number of years. And we feel assured that no one would appreciate being remembered by her friends more than Miss Mattie.
