Dundee Dots

Mr. David McMickle’s home is being rapidly completed near the spot where the
other one was burned.

Miss Lois McElmurry, one of our most charming young ladies, spent last week with
Miss Annie Bloodsworth, at Flem.

Misses Earl and Eunice Bryan attended a party at the home of Miss Jewel Jenks
(Jinks?) at Mauk last Friday evening.

Mrs. W.S. Perry is ill at her home near Tazewell.  We wish for her a speedy
recovery.

Miss Mary Patterson, the popular teacher of Dundee, has resumed her school
duties after spending the holidays very pleasantly at her home in Geneva.

Mr. J.M. Perry and two charming daughters, Miss Ever and Lessie, enjoyed a visit
with relatives at Rochelle, Ga., recently.

Quite a crowd of our young people attended an entertainment at Stewart’s Mill
last Wednesday evening.

Mrs. Chas. Williams gave a quilting last Wednesday which was enjoyed by all
present, but the best of all was a bountiful dinner spread at the noon hour.

Mr. Chas. McMickle and family visited his brother, Robert, at Putnam Saturday
and Sunday.

Mr. Loyd Cartwright visited friends at Brantley and Japanese Saturday and Sunday.

Miss Lora McMickle and Mr. Edgar Melton spent Sunday very pleasantly with the
Misses Bloodsworth at Charing.

Dr. Lamor, of Atlanta, was here on business Monday.

Mr. David McMickle and wife, Mr. J. Hurst Spear and family spent Sunday very
pleasantly at Mr. and Mrs. Wm. Chapman’s.

Mrs. Ada Perry, Mrs. Minnie Perry and Mrs. Mary Garrette all spent Tuesday on
the pond fishing.  They report fine luck.

Mr. and Mrs. William Perry are all smiles over the arrival of a fine girl at
their home last Friday.

Quite a number of people attended preaching at Mt. Nebo last Sunday.

Mr. J. J. Hendricks and family, of near Brantley, visited their daughter, Mrs.
J.H. Spear, Saturday and Sunday.

Mr. and Mrs. Andrew McElmurry, Mr. David McMickel and family, Mrs. Freddie
McElmurry, Mrs. Mary Montgomery and Miss Lois McElmurry all spent Friday at the
home of Mr. Chas. McMickel, celebrating his birthday.

Mr. Edgar Melton made his usual trip here Saturday and Sunday.

Mr. W.D. McMickle and wife visited their son, Robert and family, at Putnam this
week.

Mr. and Mrs. J.H. Spear spent Sunday very pleasantly at the home of Mr. and Mrs.
N.B. Bryan.

The singing at Mr. W.D. McMickel’s Sunday afternoon was well attended.  Mrs.
Docia Pervis and Miss Lala Bloodsworth acted as organists.

Mr. and Mrs. Bascom Parker, of Brantley, spent Saturday and Sunday the guests of
Mr. J.H. Spear and family.

Mrs. Joe Mackey, of Irma, visited her sister, Mrs. J.B. Cartwright, last week.

Mrs. Bessie McMickel returned home from Putnam Sunday, where she has been
spending a week with her daughter, who is quite sick.

The singing at Mr. and Mrs. J.M. Perry’s Sunday afternoon was well attended.

Messrs. Loyd Cartwright and Joseph Bryan went to Rabbit Sunday to have their
fortunes told.

Misses Ethel and Forrest McMickle were the charming guests of Mrs. J.H. Spear
last Sunday.

Mr. and Mrs. Wm. Chapman spent Saturday and Sunday the guests of their parents,
Mr. and Mrs. W.D. McMickle.

Miss Lois McElmurray has ben on the sick list the past week, but is improving at
this writing.

Mr. and Mrs. J.H. Spear spent Saturday and Sunday with home folks at Japanese.

Quite a number of people from here are anticipating a delightful time at Warm
Springs on the 10th inst.

Mr. and Mrs. Chas. McMickle spent Sunday very pleasantly with their parents, Mr.
and Mrs. Jerome McElmurray.

The all-day singing at Dundee on the 4th has been postponed until sometime in July.

Miss Etta Lucas opened school here Monday with a very good attendance.

Miss Verda Moultrie, of Waverly Hall, has accepted a music class at Dundee and
is progressing very nicely.

Mrs. J.W. Spear, of Columbus, is here for several days visiting relatives.

Many of our people attended the all day meeting at Philippi Sunday.

Mr. Young Williams, of Greenville, has been visiting his brother, Charles, for
several days.

Mr. William Chapman and wife spent Saturday night and Sunday with their parents,
Mr. and Mrs. W.D. McMickle.

Mrs. J.J. Hendricks and sons, Ausie and Cecil, of near Brantley, spent Saturday
and Sunday with her daughter, Mrs. J.H. Spear.

Everybody is anticipating a delightful time at the three days meeting at Charing
next Friday, Saturday and Sunday.
