Driskell, the newly elected principal of Buena Vista school was in town several days this week and met a number of the patrons of the school. We are pleased to note that the people were favorably impressed and the belief is general that he will keep the school up to its present high standard and add to its reputation as an educational institute. Prof. Driskell and Miss Lula Houser, of Perry, are to be married August 11th, and will make a tour through the eastern states. He expects to be in Buena Vista about August 20th. Driskell, who was elected principal of Buena Vista school, was married at Perry on the 12th to a daughter of Mr. Fred M. Houser, a prominent merchant of that place. Prof. and Mrs. Driskell left for a tour of north Georgia immediately after the ceremony. They are expected in Buena Vista on the 20th. School will begin on the first Monday in September. Prof. Driskell has the reputation of being one of the best educators in the state and will, no doubt, do his part towards increasing the usefulness of the school here.
