An Old Negro

There was an old negro woman at the association Sunday, aunt Mary Baker, of
this county, who is said to be 104 years old. She had a son with her whose
locks were as white as cotton and who is now 78 years old, but she has four
children older than he. She nursed the late Dr. Baker in his infancy. She
gets about as sprightly as many not half her age and takes in washing. She
bids fair to live many years yet.
