This roster, handsomely bound book, will be presented to the Marion county courthouse, as a permanent reeord for the use of future generations. The U. D C. fully appreciates the need of a work of this kind, as data concerning confederate veterans is very hard to obtain, because there was no record kept at that time. If you have a boy in the service won't you see that his name is enrolled in this book? We ask that the enlisted men or nearest relation of same send following information to the committee named below. ‘We anticpate and appreciate your assistance in this essential work.
