Louise Brooker, 69, of Box Springs, GA, died February 26, 2011, at Columbus 
Specialty Hospital in Columbus, GA. 

A memorial service was held at New Beginning Freewill Baptist Church on March 
5, 2011, at 2:00 PM with Reverend Dallas Short officiating. Since Mrs. 
Brooker’s favorite color was yellow, her family requests people attending the 
memorial service wear something yellow.

Mrs. Brooker was born July 29, 1941, in St. Louis, MO, to Edward and Stella 
Hall Burger. She was a homemaker and a member of New Beginning Freewill 
Baptist Church.  Originally from St. Louis, she had been living in Seffner, 
FL, before settling in Marion County in 1994.  In addition to her parents, she 
was preceded in death by two husbands, Carl Edward Rodgers and James Julian 
Brooker, by her twin brother, James Burger, by a sister, Doris and by a great 
grandson, Nathan Davis.

She is survived by a son, David Moore of St. Louis, MO; three daughters, Pat 
and Gregory Johnston, Cynthia and James Stone, all of Box Springs, and 
Jennifer and Kurt Rohlmann  of Saint Marys, GA; a sister Grace; 10 
Grandchildren, Danny, Paula, Sarra, Brittney, Jeff, Merrill, Amber, Eric, 
Daniel and Cera, and four great-grandchildren, Alex, Emily, London, and 
Matthew.

Tante Funeral Home of Buena Vista was in charge of arrangements.
