Mr. I.P. Blue, Jr., Was Buried Saturday

Mr. I.P. Blue, Jr., better known among his friends as “Bice” Blue, died Friday
night and was buried Saturday afternoon. Mr. Blue was working in the Patriot
office for Mr. Felder when we purchased the office now, nearly three years ago
and continued to work for us for months. He was then large, strong and
vigorous; no trace of the disease – white plague or consumption, that has cut
his life short, could then be seen. His prospects were long life and
usefulness.

His health began to fail and last year he went west, stopping for months in
Texas, hoping the change and purity of air and climate would be beneficial. A
few weeks ago his brother went out to Texas to bring him home as his health had
declined until all hope of recovery had gone. He arrived here only two weeks
ago, and everything was done for him by loving hands of relatives and friends.

He was beloved by everyone and his death Friday night brought sorrow to all.

His remains were laid to rest in Ramah cemetery. He was 23 years old, the son
of Capt. I.P. Blue, and has many relatives in and around Buena Vista.
