Vivian Joyce Rogers (Anthony)
June 10, 1932 ~ January 13, 2017

Mrs. Vivian Joyce Anthony Rogers, 84, of Columbus, GA, passed away on Friday, 
January 13, 2017, at St. Francis Hospital in Columbus, GA.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00PM on Tuesday, January 17, 2017, at Brown 
Springs Church of God with Rev. Benjamin Smith and Rev. Jeff Johnson 
officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. Serving as pallbearers 
will be Fred Rogers, Jr., Randy Rogers, James Smith, Landon Barnhill, Daniel 
Smith, Houston Barnhill, and Dallas Rogers. Honorary pallbearers are Braxton 
Schweinfurth and Conner Schweinfurth. The family will receive friends at the 
funeral home on Monday, January 16, 2017 from 6:00 - 8:00PM.

Mrs. Rogers was born June 10, 1932, in Thomaston, GA, to Bascom and Hattie 
Phillips Anthony. A member of Beallwood Church of God, she was a homemaker and 
enjoyed gardening.  Mrs. Rogers loved spending time with her family and taking 
care of them. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her 
husband, Willie Carl Rogers.

She is survived by three sons, Willie Rogers of Cusseta, GA, Fred and Teresa 
Rogers of Hamilton, GA, Billy and Sharon Rogers of Holly Springs, NC; by three 
daughters, Joyce and Donald Frye of Satsuma, AL, Betty and Mike Smith of 
Freemont, NC, and Sandra Romero of Columbus, GA; three sisters, Elizabeth Rogers 
of Buena Vista, GA, Sarah Rogers of Brown Springs, GA, and Easter Johnson of 
Ellerslie, GA; Seventeen grandchildren, Randy Rogers, Fred Rogers, Jr., Rebecca 
Barnhill, James Smith, Benjamin Smith, Daniel Smith, Anita Brown, Stephanie 
Carroll, Stacy Guerra, Dallas Rogers, Cynthia Heaps, John Romero, Dana Elrod, 
Tonya Payne, Jennifer Baetje, Billy Rogers, Jr., and Ann Rogers; 27 great-
grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews also survive.

Watson-Tante Funeral Home of Buena Vista, GA, is in charge of the arrangements.
