Naomi S. (Stubbs) Anthony
July 30, 1930 ~ February 8, 2020 (age 89)

Mrs. Naomi S. Anthony’s golden heart stopped beating and she gained her 
heavenly crown at 5:30PM on Saturday, February 8, 2020. She was 89 years of 
age.  Funeral services will be held at 2:00PM on Tuesday, February 11, 2020, 
at Oakland Church of God with Rev. Mike Toomey and Rev. Chris Henson 
officiating. Burial will follow the service at New Life Freewill Baptist 
Church. The family will greet friends at Oakland Church of God on Monday, 
February 10, 2020, from 6:00-8:00PM. Serving as active pallbearers will be Ken 
Anthony, Terry Teat, Steven Maddox, John Shoemaker, Gary Bedford, and Scott 
Graham.

Mrs. Anthony was born July 30, 1930, to Fred and Lois Cullefer Stubbs. She was 
a member of Oakland Church of God. Mrs. Anthony loved God and was devoted to 
her church. She loved her family and was always feeding people. Before her 
retirement, she was employed with Playtex as a sewing machine operator. In 
addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband Clifford 
Anthony, her son, Jerry Anthony, an infant son, Larry Anthony, her son-in-law 
Forrest Rigsby, her brother James “JP” Stubbs, and her sister, Laverne Barnes.

She is survived by a daughter Sherry Rigsby of Junction City, GA; a sister, 
Betty and Olin Teat of Ft. Payne , AL; grandchildren, Gregg Rigsby and Kim 
Webb, both of Junction City, GA; three great-grandchildren, Ben Webb, Brandon 
Webb, and Andrew Webb. Several nieces and nephews also survive.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Thomaston Hospice, 512 South 
Center Street, Thomaston, GA 30286.

Way-Watson Funeral Home of Buena Vista, Georgia is in charge of arrangements.
