Funeral services will be held at 3:00pm on Friday, January 20, 2017, at Oakland Church of God with Rev. Mike Toomey and Rev. A. R. Curlee officiating. Burial will follow the service in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Thursday, January 19, 2017, from 6:00 – 8:00pm. Mrs. Anthony was born in Troy, AL, on February 28, 1928. She was a member of Oakland Church of God and enjoyed attending services there. Mrs. Anthony was a homemaker and was a loving mother and grandmother. She loved puzzles and would help anybody she was able. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, John H. Anthony, a daughter, Charlene Anthony and a granddaughter, Stephanie Spikes. She is survived by two sons, John Michael and Phyllis Anthony and Ken Anthony, all of Box Springs, GA; Grandchildren, Sabrina Davis of Columbus, GA, Paul Anthony of Box Springs, GA, Stephanie Gamble of Nashville, TN, John Moore of Reynolds, GA, Tiffany Spikes of Box Springs, GA, and John Anthony of North Carolina; Great-Grandchildren, Kendall, Austin, Katara, Nova, Tabitha, Robert, Cameron, and Taylor; and several nieces and nephews.
