Obituary  -  Mrs. Iona Bass Succumbs Here

  Mrs. Iona Hall Bass, 57, of 1421 Whitney Ave., died Tuesday at Phoebe Putney 
Memorial Hospital.
  She was born Jul 18, 1904, in Worth County, daughter of the late Sol Hall and 
Willie Bell Jordan Hall.  She moved to Albany in 1948 and has resided here 
since that time.  She was a member of the First Baptist Church.
  Survives include her husband, G. E. Bass;  a daughter, Mrs. W. M. Austin, 
Albany; a grand daughter, Elaine Austin, Albany; two sisters, Mrs. R. J. 
Giddens, Albany, and Mrs. F. H. Gay, Sylvester; three brothers, Jesse Hall, 
Julian Hall and Ernest Hall all of Bartow, Fla., and a number of nieces and 
nephews.
  The funeral service will be conducted Friday at 11 a.m. in the First Baptist 
Church by thew Rev. Brooks Ramsey, pastor.  Pallbearers will be Norman Gay, Sol 
Green, George Green, Crawford Bass and Jack Giddens.
  Interment will be in Floral Memory Gardens with arrangements by Oaklawn 
Chapel.
