Kimbrell Stern Funeral Home Announcements - 2005
Mr. William Wade Barksdale, 93 (June 16, 1911) of Parr Rd. in Albany died March 
21, 2005 at his residence.A native of Washington County, GA, Mr. Barksdale has 
lived in Albany since 1955, where he was a member of Palmyra Road United 
Methodist Church and the Weslyan Sunday School Class. He also served as Usher 
and on the Administrative Board. Mr. Barksdale was a faithful steward to the 
lord and his church. He was retired from Watkins Lumber Company employed since 
1955, Avid fisherman and a beloved father and grandfather.Survivors include his 
wife Dorothy Barksdale of Albany, daughters, Janet Alona Fraser and her husband 
Delacy of Albany, Sheryl Jolly and her husband Clay of Augusta, GA, son, 
William Wade Barksdale, Jr. and his wife Diane of Covington, GA, grandchildren, 
Jan Watson, Delacy Fraser, Jr., Will Fraser, Clayt Jolly, Wade Jolly, and Grace 
Jolly, great-grandchildren, Heather, T.J., and Holly Mauldin, Zack, Zane and 
Kayla Fraser and Mikayla Bair, step-grandchildren, Tommy Gene, Richard and 
Justin Watson. Those desiring, please make memorials to Palmyra Road United 
Methodist Church, 1600 Palmyra Rd., Albany, GA 31701.

The family will receive friends Thursday from 7:00 PM until 9:00 PM at Kimbrell-
Stern.The funeral service will be Friday 10:30 AM at Palmyra Road United 
Methodist Church. Rev. Cathy Green officiating. Interment will follow at 
Brownwood Cemetery in Sandersville, GA at 4 PM.
