Sollie Ball

DAWSON — Sollie Ball, 61, of 228 Dawson St., Sasser, died Tuesday, February 4, 
2003 at Phoebe Putney Memorial Hospital in Albany.

The funeral will be at 2 p.m. Tuesday, at Mount Olive Missionary Baptist 
Church, Sasser. The Rev. Angelo Tumblin is Pastor, the Rev. J.H. Reynolds will 
officiate. Burial will follow in Second Mount Zion Missionary Baptist Church 
Cemetery, Sasser.

Sollie completed his education in the public schools of Terrell County, GA. He 
worked at Lilliston and Busch Hogg for a number of years until his health 
failed.

He leaves to cherish his precious memories are, a loving and devoted wife, 
Lucile Clark Ball of Sasser; his mother, Pinkie Ball of Sasser; two sisters, 
Josephine Hammond of Albany and Ruby Lee Richardson of Little Rock, AR; four 
brothers, Green Ball Jr. (Eva J.), Willie Theodis Ball (Lutricia), Frank Lee 
Ball (Betty), and Eddie Ball, all of Albany; four sisters-in-law, Eva Clark 
Bragg (Leon) of Rockford, IL, Essie Clark Robinson (Jimmy) and Georgie Clark, 
both of Miami, FL, and Annie Clark Howard (Willie) of Columbus; one brother-in-
law, Nathaniel Wilcox of Miami; an aunt, Idella Witchard of Albany; and a host 
of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
