BELOVED WOMAN ANSWERS LAST CALL
Carnesville Herald
Thursday, Feb. 27, 1936
On Wednesday morning at 3 o'clock, death came to Mrs. CHARLOTTE SMITH CROW,
widow of Willis A. Crow. She was 77 years of age, and had been ill at Brown's
Hospital for only about one week, suffering from intestinal trouble.
Mrs. Crow was one of Royston's most beloved women, quiet and unassuming, a
lover of home-life and a true Christina. She and Mr. Crow were married in
1878 and for many years the family has been identified with the business and
social interests of Royston and community. A member of Trinity Methodist
church since girlhood, Mrs. Crow was always interested in church life and
community progress. She was a devoted mother and wife and to know her was to
love her.
Funeral services were conducted from the Royston Methodist Church this
afternoon at 2 o'clock in the presence of hundreds of sorrowing friends and
relatives, Rev. C. W. Henderson and Rev. W. T. Irvine officiating. Interment
followed in Rose Hill Cemetery.
Aside from a number of grandchildren and other relatives, Mrs. Crow is
survived by the following children: Mrs. Frank Brooks, Mrs. Guy tucker, Mrs.
J. A. Blackmon and Spurgeon E. Crow, all of Royston.
Joe. T. Cunningham had charge of funeral arrangements.
