Toccoa, GA - Mary Elizabeth Wilson Bentley, 65, of Route 1, New Hope 
Community, died April 5, 1982 at Georgia Baptist Hospital in Atlanta.
    Born in Franklin County, GA on Sept. 16, 1916, she was a daughter of the 
late Rev. G. F. Wilson and Florence Brock Wilson.  She was a homemaker and a 
member of New Hope Baptist Church where she was a member of the Ladies Adult 
Sunday School Class.
    Surviving are: widower, James Pope Bentley of Toccoa; daughter, Mrs. 
Catherine Bowden of Griffin, GA; son, Steve Bentley, of Toccoa, GA; brother, 
Frank Wilson, Toccoa, GA; Gladys Jackson of Atlanta, GA; Evie Ruth Whitfield 
of Ft. Oglethorpe, GA; stepmother, Amanda Pritchett Wilson, of Baldwin, GA; 5 
grandchildren and 4 great grandchildren.
    Services are 4:30 p.m., Wednesday, at New Hope Baptist Church with Rev. 
Robert Randall and Rev. Jack Wilson officiating.  Burial will follow in the 
church cemetery.
    The family requests that flowers be omitted and memorial be made to the 
New Hope Baptist Church cemetery fund.
