Christine A. (nee Vertnik) Kuzma, 94, of Robbinsdale, formerly of Ely on 

Wednesday, Sept. 15, 2004 at the Minnesota Masonic Home, New Hope, Minn.



She married her husband Mike Kuzma on August 10, 1927 in Ely. She was a 

long time member of Ely VFW Post #2717 Ladies Aux., St. Anthony's Catholic 

Church and the Church of the Sacred Heart, Robbinsdale, MN.



She was preceded in death by husband, Mike; parents, Joseph and Agnes 

Vertnik; sisters, Pauline Belanger and Mary Sershen; brother, Joseph 

Vertnik. Survived by son, Edwin M. (Joan) Kuzma of Minneapolis, MN; 

granddaughter, Evelyn (Shailendra) Jain of New Brighton, MN; grandsons, 

Mark (Wendy) of Ramsey, MN, Michael (Sandra) of Brooklyn Park, MN and 

Matthew (Joyce) Kuzma of Maple Grove, MN; 10 great grandchildren; two 

great great grandchildren; brother, Leonard Vertnik of Holiday. FL.



Mass of Christian Burial was held Saturday, Sept. 18, 2004 at the Church 

of the Sacred Heart, with the Rev. Michael Creagan officiating. Interment 

will be Mon. Sept. 20, 2004 at 5 p.m. at the Ely Cemetery. Memorials are 

preferred to the American Diabetes Assoc.
