Catherine Campbell Dies In St. Paul

James J. Campbell in company with his sister, Mrs. Agnes McDonald, arrived here
last Wednesday evening from St. Paul, with the remains of his wife who died on
Tuesday morning in a hospital in that city, of valvular heart trouble after a
lingering illness lasting several weeks.

Deceased was a daughter of Mrs. Barbara Schwirtz of this city, to whose home the
remains were taken on the arrival, until Thursday morning at 9 o'clock when the
funeral was held from St. Joseph's church, Father Wagener officiating. Interment
was made in the Catholic cemetery.

The deceased, whose maiden name was Catherine Schwirtz, was 38 years of age, was
born and reared in this vicinity until October 11, 1893, when she was married
and lived with her husband at Savanna until some ten years ago when they moved
to St. Paul.

She was the most estimable lady and her death is mourned by a large circle of
relatives and friends. Mr. Campbell returned to his home at St. Paul Friday
morning where he is in the employ of a large establishment as city solicitor. He
was engaged in railroading until he moved to St. Paul.
