From: April 15, 1926 Winn Parish Enterprise Clayton O'Connell Killed By Fall From Car Clayton T. O'Connell, 23 years old, a printer of the Winnfield News- American,and former resident of St. Paul, Minn., was instantly killed when he fell from a speeding overloaded roadster here about 1:30 o'clock Sunday afternoon. At the time of the accident Elisha Tannehill was driving the car, in which O'Connell, J. F. Danielson, G. Freeze, L. R. Crabtree, and Carroll Davis were riding. O'Connell, who was standing on the running-board lost his hold and plunged to the graveled surface of the road. His skull was crushed. Young O'Connell has been in Winnfield only about two months. His parents live at 1178 Courtland Street, St. Paul, Minn. The body was shipped to St. Paul last Tuesday and will arrive today for burial. J. F. Danielson, another printer and a friend of the deceased accompanied the body home.
