Wallace (Wally) Elfstrom

	Wally Elfstrom, Shoreview, Minn., died Feb. 11, 2001,
at Presbyterian Homes of Roseville. He was 76 years old.
Wally was born July 31, 1924, in Frederic, to Bill and
Gertrude (Bergstrom) Elfstrom. He graduated in the class of 1942 at Frederic
High School. He served as an officer in the Navy Air Corp during World
War II.
        Wally was a graduate of the University of Minnesota. He
worked as an FBI agent for four years in Pittsburgh, Pa., and Detroit,
Mich. The remainder of his over 40-year career he worked as a salesman in the
corrugated-box industry.
        He loved spending time at his cottage near Siren. He
enjoyed travel and made many worldwide trips. Wally was preceded in death
by his parents; and brother Charles (Chuck).
        He is survived by his wife of 51 years, Vivian
(Wirtzfeld); children Steven (Sandra), Susan (Randy Nordquist) and Jean Wiklund; six
granddaughters; brothers LeRoy (June), Don (Fran), Jim (Anne); sister
Mary (Bob) Otness and sister-in-law Bonnie.
        Memorial service was held Feb. 16 at Holcomb, Henry,
Boom Funeral Home in Shoreview, Minn., with Pastor Nate Costins
officiating. Interment at Fort Snelling National Cemetery.
