Pieter Feddriks Zeinstra, known as Peter or Piet:



From Pieter's obituary:

Peter Zeinstra was born to Fred and Akke Heerema Zeinstra on June 26, 1893, 

in Tzummarum, Barradeel, Friesland, The Netherlands.  In April 1911 he came 

to the United States and settled on a farm north of Pipestone, Minnesota.  

On March 26, 1919, he was united in marriage to Winnie Vander Woude in 

Pipestone County.  After their marriage they settled on a farm in Pipestone 

County, Minnesota where they remained until they retried and moved into 

Holland, Minnesota.

Holding fond memories of him are four sons:  Felix, Floyd, Bernard, and 

Harvey of Pipestone; three daughters: Alvera, Mrs. Donald R. Klingbile, 

Claretta, Mrs. Bert Baartman, Pearl, Mrs. Keith Pritchett, all of Pipestone; 

one son-in-law, Jake Overgaauw of Ruthton, Minnesota; 26 grandchildren and 

six great-grandchildren; one brother, Martin Zeinstra of Martin, Michigan; 

four sisters, Mrs. Sadie (Dick) Van Heerde of Sioux Falls, SD, Mrs. Winnie 

(Lenard) Rodenberg of Leota, Minnesota, Mrs. Clara (Dick) Vander Wal and 

Mrs. Fannie (Henry) Schnepf, both of Ihlen, Minnesota.  He was receded in 

death by his parents, his wife and a daughter, Sylvia, both of whom died in 

1970, two brothers one sister and a son who died in infancy.

Internment was at Holland Cemetery, Holland, Pipestone County, Minnesota.

Pieter's parents were Feddrik (Fred) Jans Zeinstra and Akke (Agnes) Gerrits 

Herrema.  Fred and Agnes are both buried in the Holland Cemetery, Holland, 

Pipestone County Minnesota.
