From The Pipestone Leader June 13, 1907:

Marius Swansen died at his home near Holland, at 9:30 last

Friday evening, of pneumonia, aged 43 years. He leaves a wife and

six children to mourn his death, all of whom have the the (sic)

heartfelt sympathy of the entire community in their sorrow. The

widow is a sister of Mrs. C. Hansen of this city. The funeral was

held at the home Saturday last, and the remains were laid to rest in

the Holland cemetery.

[This was my great-grandfather. We used the spelling "Swendsen".]
