Jane M. Slade, 87, of Lake Eshquaguma, formerly of Babbitt, dies



  Jane M. Slade, 87, of Lake Eshquaguma, died.

  She was a lifelong partner with her husband, Russell J. “Bud,” in the 

retail grocery business as well as on the golf courses of northern 

Minnesota and Florida.

  She is survived by her children, Marcia (Richard) Brooke, Leonard 

(Jane) Slade, Judy (Kent) Nettz, Sherry (Frank) Anderson, and Betty 

(Dean) Christensen; 21 grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; and 

nieces and nephews.

  She was preceded in death by her husband, Russell J. “Bud.”

  A memorial service was held on Thursday, May 5 in Edina. A private 

burial will be in Fort Snelling National Cemetery.
