Roy (Buster) Nickolson, 86, dies

Roy (Buster) Nickolson, 86, died April 19, 2005 following a brief

illness. His family feels he went to join his wife, Inez, and is already

enjoying more bountiful fishing and hunting.

He was born March 5, 1919, to Saunder and Helen Nickolson, who had

immigrated to Robinson from Norway. He was always proud of his heritage

and instilled that sense of pride in his family.

He graduated from Memorial High School in Ely and on June 29, 1941

married Inez Anderson, daughter of Martin and Assunta Anderson.

Buster lived in Robinson all of his life with the exception of the

years he spent in the Air Force during World War II. He worked hard and

played hard, always enjoying the outdoors with his family and friends.

His front door was always open to anyone who needed a friend.

Buster is survived by his son, Jack Nickolson, and his daughter, Sandra

(David) Cornwell. He has nine grandchildren, Lora Kimber, Roy Cornwell,

Earl Cornwell, Teri Ersbo, James Ersbo, Tim Ersbo, Jodi Martin, Aaron

Nickolson and Becky Nickolson. He also has 12 great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Inez, a daughter, Helen (Sanford)

Ersbo, his parents, one brother and five sisters.

A funeral will be for the immediate family in Robinson.

Family arrangements by Kerntz Brothers, A Bauman Family Funeral in Ely.
