Inez Nickolson, 83, of Ely, dies



Inez Nickolson, 83, of Ely, died at her home on Friday Nov. 5, 2004. She 

was born on Feb 16, 1921 in Virginia to Martin and Assunta (Couppeletti) 

Anderson. Inez graduated from Ely Memorial High School class of 1940. 



She married Roy Nickolson on June 29, 1941 in Ely. Inez spent most of her 

life in the Ely Area. She loved fishing, camping and her frequent visits 

to Fortune Bay. Her greatest love was spending time with her family and 

friends. She will be greatly missed by many.



Inez is survived by her husband Roy; two children: Sandra (David) 

Cornwell of Babbitt and Jack Nickolson of Ely; nine grandchildren: Lora 

Cornwell, Roy Cornwell, Earl (Kristen)Cornwell, Terri Ersbo, Jim Ersbo, 

Tim (Korena) Ersbo, Jodi (Michael) Martin, Aaron Nickolson and Becky 

Nickolson; and eleven great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by 

her parents and a daughter Helen (Ersbo) Sanford.



A memorial service for Inez was held Monday, Nov. 8, 2004 at Grace 

Lutheran Church in Ely with Pastor William Fossum officiating.
