1942-NORVEL KOEHN-2004

Norvel Dale Koehn, the son of John and Delores Erickson Koehn, was born May 
12, 1942 near Raymond, Minnesota. When he was young the family moved to a 
farm southwest of Fulda. Norvel attended school in Fulda. He entered the 
United States Army in 1964. Following his discharge in 1966 he returned to 
the family farm. Norvel lived with his parents and farmed with his father. 
Following the death of his father in 1990 Norvel continued farming the 
family farm. Norvel passed away after a courageous battle with cancer on 
March 19, 2004 at the Avera McKennan Hospital in Sioux Falls, SD at the age 
of 61. He was a member of the Immanuel American Lutheran Church, rural 
Fulda, and the Dundee VFW. Norvel enjoyed going to auctions, collecting 
toys, antiques and visiting with his family and many friends.

Survivors include his mother, Delores Koehn of Fulda, MN; one sister, Marlys 
Engelkes and her husband, Andy of Fulda, MN and one brother, Larry Koehn and 
his wife, Terri of Moville, IA; one uncle, Reiny Koehn of Richville, MN and 
one aunt, Donnabelle Sandhurst of Sioux Falls, SD; five nieces, four nephews 
and their spouses and 13 great-nieces and nephews. He is preceded in death 
by his father, John.

Funeral services were held at Immanuel American Lutheran Church, rural 
Fulda, MN at 10:30 AM on Monday, March 22, 2004 with the Rev. Michael Foster 
officiating. The organist was Marlene Sievers. The pallbearers were Jeff 
Koehn, Chris Koehn, Burdell Christians, Norm Rehborg, Norman Danneman and 
Dwain Koehn. Interment at the Immanuel American Lutheran Cemetery, rural 
Fulda.
