Arthur Ernest “Skipper” Dunstan, 57, of Alto, NM, died unexpectedly Monday, 
June 14, 2004, at home.

He was born March 14, 1947, in Ely, to Ernest and Ina (Hautala) Dunstan. 
He graduated from Ely High School in 1965 and from Brown University in 
1969. He received a master’s degree from the University of Michigan. He 
worked for Ford Motor Company and Lear Design Corporation.

Arthur is survived by his wife, Lynn; daughter, Katharine; father-in-law, 
Robert Finley of Alto; sisters, Bonnie (Jack) Swanson of Silver Bay; Mary 
Beth (Tom) Witherow of Remer; brothers, James (Connie) Dunstan of Virginia, 
Richard (Desiree) Dunstan of Ely; numerous nieces and nephews; aunt, Elna 
Hautala of Ely; and uncle, John A. Smrekar of Duluth
