Anna P. Dodge, 70, of Babbitt dies


Anna P. Dodge, 70, of Babbitt died Tuesday, Dec, 14, 2004 in the Ely 
Bloomenson Hospital. She was born in Battle Creek, MI on July 3, 1934 to 
Wallace and Besse (Long) Augustine.

A 1951 graduate of Battle Creek High School, she was married to Earl 
Dodge on October 27, 1951 in Angola, IN. They lived in Battle Creek, 
LaCrosse, WI and Silver Bay, MN before settling in Babbitt in 1958.

Anna worked as a waitress, sales clerk and homemaker. She loved crafting, 
especially knitting, bowling and bingo. She was a loving wife and mother 
and will be missed by her family and her many friends. Anna was a member 
of Woodland Presbyterian Church in Babbitt.

Survivors include her husband, Earl; children: Vikie Stordahl of Coon 
Rapids, Judy (Frank) Kimber of Andover and Earl (Robin) Dodge of 
Mahtomedi; sisters: Jean (George) Berry and Bess (Art) Hall both of 
Battle Creek; 11 grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. Anna was 
preceded in death by her parents, sisters: Mary and Clara and brothers: 
Merle, Oscar, George and Albert.

Funeral Services were held on Saturday at Woodland Presbyterian Church in 
Babbitt. Reverend Anna Williamson officiated. Memorials are preferred to 
the Ely Bloomenson Community Hospital and Nursing Home Foundation.
