settle our account on the estate of said deceased at the instance of
Barbara Faidley.

Barbara Fadley the above named petitioner being sworn according to
law doth dispose and say that the facts set forth in the above petition
are just and true to the best of her knowledge and belief - and that the
said children have been ______ her and maintained and sent to school
since the death of her said husband for which since the 11th July 1837. 
She has not received any compensation that to the best of her
knowledge   (rest missing)

To the honorable __________ judges of the court of Common Pleas of
Somerset County now composing an orphans court in and for said
county.

The petition of Barbara Fadely, widow of John Fadely late of the
township of Elklick in said county deceased who died in testate
respectfully represents that your petitioner said husband died intestate 
__________   _________ eleven children viz. Peter, Polly intermarried
with Henry Moyer, Elizabeth, Sally, Elijah, Daniel, Peggy, Alexander,
Susannah, Delilah and John the last eight named of whom are yet in
their minority.  Joseph Fike having been duly appointed guardian for
Sally and Jeremiah Miller guardian for Daniel, Peggy, Alexander,
Susannah, Delilah and John.  And that the said deceased died, seized of
a certain tract of land situate in said township of Elklick adjoining
lands of Joseph ______, Jacob ______, John Moyer and Adam Fadely
and heirs.

Your petitioner therefore prays your honor to award an inquest to make
petition of the said tract of land to and amongst the legal
representatives of said deceased if such partition can be thereof made
to and without prejudice - but if such partition cannot be made thereof
without prejudice to and _______ the whole thereof then to value and
appraise the same according to law and that return of (rest missing)

court of Common Pleas of Somerset county - now comprising an
Orphans Court in and for the same.

The petition of Barbara Fadley widow ____ of John Fadley late of
Elklick Township, Somerset county deceased.

Humbly represent that your petitioners said husband lately died
intestate leaving several infant children viz. Alexander aged 13 -
Susannah aged 11 - Delilah aged 8 - John aged 5 - without having made
an adequate provision for the education support of said children during
their minority.

Your petitioner therefore prays your honor to direct ______ _______
allowance for the support and education of the said children out of
their estate according to the circumstances of the case,              and the
will ___________

The Commonwealth of Pennsylvania, to Mary Faidley surviving
executrix of the last will and testament of Adam Faidley late of Elklick
Township deceased.

At the instance of Barbara Faidley you laying aside all business and
excuses whatsoever, are hereby cited to be and appear before Chauncey
Forword Esquire, Register for the probate of wills, and granting letters
of administration in and for the county of Somerset, at his office in
Somerset, on the fifteenth day of October next then and there to state
and file your account upon the administration of the estate of the said
Adam Faidley deceased, according to law, or shew just cause why you
should not herein fail not.  Given under the hand of the said Chauncey
Forword and the seal of the said office, at Somerset, the fifteenth day

The Commonwealth of Pennsylvania, to the Sheriff of Somerset
County  Greeting:  Whereas at an Orphans Court held at Somerset, in
and for the county of Somerset, on the last Monday in January in the
year of our Lord, one thousand eight hundred and thirty seven before
the honorable H Black and ____ Keirtz Esquire, Associate Judges of
the same Court, Barbara Fadely widow and heir at Law of John Fadely
late of the township of Elklick in said county deceased, presented her
petition to the said Judges, stating that the said John died intestate,
leaving a widow and issue eleven children, to wit: Peter, Polly
intermarried with Henry Moyer, Elizabeth, Sally, Elijah, Daniel, Peggy,
Alexander, Susannah, Delilah, and John the last eight named of whom
are yet in their minority, Joseph Fike having been duly appointed
guardian for Elijah - John Engle guardian for Sally and Jeremiah Miller
guardian for Daniel, Peggy, Alexander, Susannah, Delilah and John
and that the said intestate died, seized in his demesne as of fee of and
in a certain messuage and tract of land situate in the township of
Elklick in said county, adjoining lands of Joseph Fike, Jacob Liehty,
John Moyers and Adam Fadely's heirs - containing two hundred and
thirty three acres more or less.
