Will of John G. Beaty 1920 Somerset County, Pa Lower Turkeyfoot Township
I, John G. Beaty, of the Township of Lower Turkeyfoot, Somerset County and State
of Pennsylvania , do hereby make, publish, and declare the following to be my last
will and testament, thereby revoking all former wills heretofore made by me. First,
I direct that all my just debts and funeral expenses be paid as soon as possible
after my decease. Second. I direct that my body be decenrly interred in a Christian
like manner in the burial groumd of Silbaugh, Addison Township, Somerset County,
Pennsylvania, and a monument be erected thereon in my lot in said burial ground for
myself, my mother-in-law, Lucy A. Leanord, and my wife, Cartley Ann Beaty, not to
exceed the sum of four hundred dollars. Third. I direct that my executrix , herein
after named, to give to the County Trust Company of Somerset, Pa. the sum of two
hundred (200.00) dollars, to invest the sum in some good interest bearing
securities, and the interest thereof to be used on keeping my lot in the burial
ground at Silbaugh, Addison Township in good repair. Item. I give and bequeath to
my adopted daughter, Ethey Mae Beaty, the sum of one dollar. Item. I give, devise
and bequeath to my beloved wife, Cartney Ann Beaty, all my estate real, personal,
and mixed of whatsoever kind, and wheresoever situate for and during the term of
her batural life to have the rent, issues and profits thereof during her natural
life, and at the death of my said wife, all the property hereby devised and
bequeathed to her as aforesaid, so much thereof as may remain, unexpended, I give,
devise, and bequeath to my adopted son, Cornelius Beaty, his heirs and assigns forever.
And lastly I do gereby nominate and constitute and appoint ny said wife,
Cartley Ann Beaty to be the executrix of this, my last will and testament.
In testimony thereof, I have here unto set my hand and seal this sixth day
of August, 1919
