NOTICES FROM PUBLIC LEDGER, APRIL 5, 1875:

A.P.A. Philadelphia Lodge No. 30. A special meeting of the lodge will
be held this Monday evening at 8 o'clock at their Hall to take action
of the death of Brother Henry McNeill. John McClelland, R. Sec.

WASHINGTON IRVING LODGE NO. 756, I.O.O.F. Installation of Officers
and an address on the life and character of Washington Irving.
Tomorrow evening. Members of the Lodge are requested to attend.
Members of the Order in general invited. By order of the Lodge. Jacob
F. Gakeler, Secretary.

FRIENDSHIP UNION NO. 4, U.C.O. B. and S. (could be U.C. of B. and
S.). Stated meeting this evening. Amendments to the By-laws in regard
to raising the dues will come up for action. It is to the interest of

A.P.A. Members are requested to be present at Star of Bethlehem Lodge
No. 26 on next Thursday Evening, the 8th. Visitation of Grand Lodge

evening. New members, between the ages of 16 and 45 admitted. Meets

SONS OF TEMPERANCE. There will be a Public Installation of officers
of Hierophant Division, No. 21, at the Hall S. W. (?) corner of Ninth
and Spring Garden streets, this (Monday) evening, Arpil 5, at 8
o'clock. Members and friends of the order are invited to be present.

SHEARES' CLUB. Stated meeting this evening at 8 o'clock. Business of

MEMORY OF JOHN MITCHELL AND JOHN MARTIN. The executive Committee will
meet at the Sheares' Club Room on Tuesday evening, April 6th, at 8
o'clock to perfect arrangements for the Obsequies in honor of John
Mitchell and John Martin, which will take place at the Chestnut
Street Theatre, on Sunday Evening, April 11th. Wm. Carroll, Chairman;

THE STEAMSHIP VADERLAND will sail for Antwerp from the Company's
Docks, Girard Point, on Tuesday, April 6, 1875, at 11 a.m. A special
train will leave Christian Street wharf at 10 a.m. to connect with
steamer. Cabin passengers must be on hand before that hour. Steerage
passengers must be at the Emigrant Depot, Christian Street Wharf,
before 8 a.m.
