Margaret Baer Murder in Philadelphia.
An unfortunate affair occurred at the Continental Theatre, on Saturday evening last.
The victim, whose name is Margaret Baer, was seated with some eight or ten others in
one of the private boxes, witnessing the performance. A young man named Wm. Howard
Mitchell, her lover, fired three shots at her, two of them taking effect, one
immediately in front of the right ear and the other in her right arm. She died
without uttering a word.
