Latrobe Advance Wed, Dec 01, 1886 
Died at his home in Mercer, Saturday last, William Vincent, one of the most
prominent citizens of Mercer, died at his residence in that place, in the 75th
year of his age. Mr. Vincent was a man of means and was closely identified with
all enterprises looking to the welfare of Mercer. He was a brother of Dr.
Vincent, pastor of he U. P. church, of Latrobe, and uncle of Rev. W. H. Vincent,
of Ligonier. He was a consistent christian having been an elder in the U. P.
church of Mercer, for a number of years. Dr. Vincent and wife, of Latrobe and
Rev. W. H. Vincent, of Ligonier, went to Mercer Saturday evening last to attend
the funeral.
