The Indiana Weekly Messenger Wed Mar 05 1913 
John W. Lukehart died at the Punxsutawney hospital on March 2, from
appendicitis. He was 57 years of age. In 1879 the deceased was married to Mrs.
Anna Marshall, at Indiana, and after residing at Plumville a few years, moved to
Punxsutawney, 22 years ago.
Mr. Lukehart is survived by his widow, his mother, Mrs. Elizabeth Lukehart, of
Armstrong county, and the following children: Clark J., of Clarksburg; Mrs.
Thomas H. Stear, of Punxsutawney; William M., Ann Arbor, Mich.; Irvin and Floyd,
at home. He is also survived by the following brothers and sister: Joseph and
David Lukehart, of Armstrong county; Jacob and Harry, of Indiana county; Mrs.
Sarah Williams, Mrs. Curt Jewart, Mrs. Jane Wells and Mrs. Mary Campbell, all of
Armstrong county. After brief services at the home of the deceased, public
services were conducted yesterday afternoon, March 4, by Rev. Charles A. Clark,
in the First Presbyterian church, of which denomination he had been a member for
thirty -five years. Interment was made in Hill cemetery, Punxsutawney.
