Huntingdon Gazette, July 23, 1807

Married: On Sunday evening last, by the Rev. Morris Howe, Rev. Mr. Jesse 
Pinnell, to Julian Morrison of this borough.

Huntingdon Gazette, August 6, 1807

Died on Sunday last, of a violent attack of Dysentry, which, we are sorry to 
say, prevails, at present in this borough, John Brown, Cooper. Mr. Brown was a 
single man, aged 26 years, who enjoyed an uncommon degree of health, and was 
considered on of our most industrious citizens.

---Same day, in Kishaquoquillas Valley, a daughter of Mr. Calhoun aged 14 years. 
Her premature death was occasioned by the stroke of a stone rolled from the top, 
or some part of a mountain, by a number of Sabbath-Breakers, who were employed 
in that exercise for their own amusement.

Huntingdon Gazette, August 27, 1807

Died on the 15th instant, of the Croup, a daughter of John Blair Esq., of this 
borough, in the 3rd year of age.

---, on Thursday last in, in the 53rd year of his age, Matthew Simpson Esq., 
late coroner of this County, after a lingering illness of several months. His 
pains towards the close of life were very acute, but he bore them with fortitude 
which were grounded hope of eternal happiness, can alone inspire. During his 
residence of upwards of 20 years in this place, Mr. Simpson possessed, and very 
deservedly, the general regard and esteem of his neighbors, as well as all those 
who had the pleasure of his acquaintance.

------, on Friday last, of Dysentry in the 3rd year of his age, a son of S. 
Riddle, Esq., of this place.

----, on Tuesday morning last, of the same complaint, a daughter of the Rev. 
John Johnston, in the ninth year of her age.

Huntingdon Gazette, September 17, 1807

Died yesterday afternoon, Mr. Henry Miller Merchant, of this place.

Died at Bedford, on the 26th ultimo, Geo. Woods, Esq., much regretted by his 
acquaintances.

of his age, Mr. Alexander McCormick, an old and respectable inhabitant of this 
County.

TWO CENTS REWARD

RAN-away from subscriber living in Tyrone Township, Huntingdon County, an 
apprentice to the Shoemaking, named James Burns, about 5 feet some inches high. 
Whoever returns said boy to his master shall have the above reward, but no

account, as I am determined not to pay any debts of her contracting from this

other, and that the late Susanna Enis, relict of Alexander Enis dec'd is to be 
trusted and considered as a Feme Sole, and that her estate shall not be liable 
for debts contracted by the subscriber, William Jack or the estate of said W.

SIX CENTS REWARD

RAN-away from the subscriber living in Shirleysburg, Huntingdon County, on the 
30th December last an apprentice to the Blacksmith business, named Caleb Foster, 
something above five feet high. Whoever, apprehends and returns said apprentice 
shall have the above reward but no charges. - John Miller

Huntingdon Gazette, March 10, 1808

Died in this County, on Tuesday last, at the house of Robert McCartney, on 
Spruce Creek, Mrs. Agness Culbertson, aged 82 years, after a severe illness of 
six weeks, which she bore uncommon resignation. She retained her senses until a 
few minutes preceding her dissolution. Her life throughout maybe said to have 
been a truly religious one; She was charitable and benevolent, cheerful without 
vanity, fond of her friend, and conversation; but preferred a religious subject 
to that of any other. She left only an amiable daughter, out of a family of six 
children, with a number of distant relations to lament her loss. Spruce Creek,

-----On the 5th inst. At Birmingham, in this County, Mrs. Ann Neeling of a 
cancer in her face, with which she had been seriously affected for several 
years.

Huntingdon Gazette, April 4, 1808

Patrick Galbraith, Esq., of Shirleysburg, in this County, was drowned, on 
Tuesday evening last, near to Newton Hamilton, in attempting to cross the 
Juniata. The deceased left a wife and several Children.
