Narrow Escape

John L. Ripple, of Cromwell township, recently, while feeding a
threshing machine, had his right hand caught by the teeth of the
cylinder, when at full speed, but was extricated before drawn in by the
motion. The back of his hand was severely lacerated; yet, it is
thought, by the skillfulness of Dr. J. A. Shade, his hand will be
restored to its wonted usefulness.
