A Family Reunion.

  On Thursday of last week the family of James Chamberlain held a
reunion at his residence in Warriorsmark. The Altoona Tribune's
correspondent at that place thus speaks of the event: Mr. James
Chamberlain is 75 years of age and Mrs. Chamberlain 73 years old. They
have been married for fifty-seven years, and have lived in the
Warriorsmark Exchange hotel forty-five years. They have nine living
children - Mrs. Mary D. Keefer, of Altoona, who has seven children;
Beckey, the wife of Jos. Keefer, of Birmingham, who has eight children;
Harry Chamberlain, of Huntingdon, who has six children; Daniel
Chamberlain, of Warriorsmark, who has four children; Kate, wife of
William States, of Buckingham, Ill., who has one boy dead; Fannie, wife
of David Funk, of Warriorsmark, who has three children; Susan, the wife
of Daniel Fetterhooff, of Spruce Creek, who has eight children; Maggie,
wife of George Fetterhoof, of Spruce Creek, who has three children; and
Ada, wife of Justice Stahn, of Baltimore, who has three children;
making forty-three grandchildren. This is a fine body of people to
descend from one tree. Mr. and Mrs. Chamberlain are in good health.
The day was spent very pleasantly by all. Mrs. Fultz and Mrs. Harry
Johnston, sisters, of Mrs. Chamberlain, James Chamberlain, jr., and
family, a nephew of Chamberlain, were present. Also Mrs. Diller Buck.
They had a grand dinner. The band gave them a serenade in the evening,
rendering very fine music. We hope the old couple may be spared for
years and have many reunions of the same kind.
