Attorney General Charles J. Margiotti ordered the grand jury room locked and
sealed at noon, Saturday. Armed with auger and a special Yale lock,
superintendent Lewis Williams appeared at the grand jury room at noon and
prepared to remove the present lock and replace it with a brand new one.

The keys to the grand jury room from now on will be in the custody of Attorney
General Margiotti or one of his assistants, it was asserted.

This is the second part of the court house that has been locked and sealed by
the attorney general. Last week he sealed the Bertillon room in the county
detective's office in the basement where the alleged third degreeing of Monaghan
occurred.
