PUBLIC SALE
On the premises on the 10th day of the 10th Mo, next, a valuable plantation
situated in birmingham township, Delaware Co. (Pa) near Chadd`s Ford, being
the ground on which the Brandywine battle was fought: bounded by the lands of
Caleb Binton, Eli harvey and others; containing near 300 acres, 100 of which
is covered by timber of the first quality, rich meadow , suitable for grain or
grass, the remainder arable land, is of a good quality, well set with grass,
alnd has had within the last six years, 24 bushels of lime put on. the
improvements are substantial and comortable brick house; stone barn 40 by 50,
with stone walls round two sides of the yard, well shedded for cattle; stone
spring house over never failing spring of excellent water; a stone dwelling 17
by 24,with log shop,stable, and coen crib, a large orchard of good fruit,
fields suitable divide with water in them; from 40 to 50 hear o cattle may be
fed annually: The farm will be sold entire or divided inot two farms to suit
purshasers. On one of the divisions 30 acres of timber may be cleared to good
advantage. Different places of worship,Grist and Saw mills are very
convenient; neighborhood good, and remarkably healthy; lime stone within two
to three miles. This property is ablut 9 miles from Wilmington, and the
Brandywine mills, and on the new turnpike route which passses handsomely
through it; is 22 miles from Philadelphia and 9 from West Chester&c. A good
title can be made and possession given on the 4th of the 4th mo. next. Any
persons wishing to view said farm will be shewn it by applying to Francis
Hickman, living thereon, of to the Subcriber near Concord Meeting home. Sale
to begin at 10 o'clock when terms of payment will be made known by
