Anniversary celebration
About Forty persons surprised Mr. Henry Speakman, residing on the Baldwin 
Keech farm West Whitland township, Saturday evening last, by making a call 
visit in a body. they came for the purpose of celebrating Mr. speakman`s 
fortieth birthday anniversary. Their aim was accomplished, the event passing 
off in the happiest of style. The surpisers brought with them the necessary 
refreshments which were enjoyed at a seasonable hour. At the conclusion of the 
festivities Mr. Speakman thanked on and all for their kindness and the guests 
departed to their respective homes to spend the Sabbath.
