SURPRISED AT 84
A very pleasant annivesary surprise was given in honor of Mrs. Hannah Speakman 
in the 84th year of her age. It was held at her son-in-law`s, Daniel Beebe of 
Cheyney. People arrived from the rearly morning until late in the afternoon. 
The house was thrown open to the guests and the lawn was supplied with 
hammocks and chairs for the occasion. At about two o'clock all were invited to 
the dining room. Mrs. Fergus, Will Fergus, Mrs. Burnett, Miss Richardson, Mrs 
Campbell, Mrs. Thomson, Lena Temple,Katie Darlington,Sallie Faddis, Mrs. Edwin 
Taylor, Maud Hammun, Bertha Taylor, Taylor Darlington, Henry Thomson,Lelia 
Taylor,Mrs. Howard Taylor, Ambrose Taylor, Mrs. Will Temple and Wyeth 
Darlington, besides others were present. Seven grandchilderen and ten great 
grandchildren were also in attendance.
