SILVER WEDDING

At the home of Mr. and Mrs. Clinton K. Mosteller, at the corner of New and Union
Streets, the twenty-fifth anniversary of their marriage was celebrated last night.
Sunday was the real day for the celebration, and on that day the family had a
special dinner, but no guests were present, the bride and groom of a quarter of
a century little suspecting that occasion would be noticed outside the household.

Last evening, however, the celebration came, and a number of relatives dropped
in with gifts of a pleasing nature in silver, linen and plush, and spent an hour
or two socially. It was thought the two daughters of the host of hostess; Misses
Iva M. and Mary E. had known more about the affair than they told.

Among the guest were Mr. and Mrs. Lewis C Moses and son, George, Ralston Lumis and
wife (West Vincent), J. Howard Lumis and family, George Lumis and family, West
Chester; Mrs. Dr. Mosteller and daughter, Phoenixville; Mrs. William A. Moore and
son and daughter, Upper Uwchland; Mr. and Mrs. John Mosteller.

The wedding, which occurred twenty-five years ago, was at the home of the bride's
parents, Mr. and Mrs. James Lumis, in West Vincent, on a clear, mild evening, at
the hour of seven. The ceremony was performed by Rev. J. R. Shoffner. Ralston
Lumis, who was present last evening, was a groomsman, and Miss Minerva Faddis,
now the widow of Jos. Anderson, was a bridesmaid.
