To be Sold at Private Sale,

A PLANTATION, situate in Goshen township, Chester county, two miles from West
Chester, on the main road to Philadelphia, containing nearly 80 acres, 30 of
which are woodland, of the best quality, 20 acres under clover, and the
remainder good pasture land: There are on said Plantation, a stone dwelling
house 50 feet front, cellared under, a well of good water near the door,
barn, stable, stone spring-house, and out-houses, all in good repair, a large
pailed garden, a bearing orchard, a number of pear and cherry trees of
different kinds, the situation pleasant and healthy.

A PLANTATION in East-Whiteland township, Chester county, half a mile south of
the White Horse tavern, on the Lancaster road, containing 96 acres; thereon
are, a two story log house and stables, a spring of good water near the door,
one half woodland, well timbered, the remainder good plow-land; the turnpike
road is within a few perches of the house; both places are well situated for
any kind of public business. For further particulars apply to the subscriber,

PURSUANT to an Order issued out of the Orphans Court for the county of
Chester, will be sold at Public Vendue, by the administratrix of James
Hunter, late of the township of East Whiteland, deceased, at the sign of the
White Horse on Lancaster road, the seventh day of March next, at two oin the
afternoon, A PLANTATION or TRACT of LAND, with a barn, stables and spring
house thereon erected, containing 82 acres and 83 perches, upwards of 20
acres whereof is good woodland, situate in the Great Valley, East Whiteland
township aforesaid, Chester county, and State of Pennsylvania; bounded by
lands of John Kerlin, John Templeton and others; subject to the
subscriberright of dower, or an undivided third part of said tract of land
during her natural life, and also subject to the right of Martha the wife of
John << Rettew>> , a posthumous daughter of John Hunter, father of the
aforesaid deceased, to wit, one undivided ninth part of the whole, at the
deceased of the aforesaid Administratrix. Late the property of James Hunter.
The conditions of sale will be made known at the time and place aforesaid, by

about the 19th or 20th of August, a red STEER, about 4 years old. The owner
proving his property, and paying charges, may have him again, by applying to

BY virtue of a writ of Levari Facias, to me directed, will be exposed to
public sale, on Wednesday, the 30th day of November next, at the Court-house
in West Chester, at 2 o'clock in the afternoon, a messuage and tract or
parcel of land, situate in the township of Goshen, bounded by lands of Isaiah
Matlack, Isaac Haines, William << Rattew>> , and others, containing 110 34
acres. The above described tract is about two miles from West Chester, two
miles from Goshen meeting house, and near to several grist mills; there are
on said premises, a messuage, barn and other out-houses, a sufficiency of
meadow and woodland, adjoining on the great road leading from Philadelphia by
Strasburgh to Lancaster. Seized and taken in execution, as the estate late of
William Eachus, deceased.

BY virtue of a writ of Venditioni Exponas, to me directed, will be exposed to
Public Sale, on the premises, on Thursday, the 1st day of July next, at 3
o'clock in the Afternoon, a Messuage and Tract or Parcel of Land, situate in
the township of Goshen, bounded by lands of William << Rattew>> , James
Hemphill, Samuel Waln and the estate late of Ellis Davis, deceased;
containing 110 acres, the land is good for grain or pasture, with a
sufficiency of meadow and woodland, in a healthy part of the country, about 2
miles from the Court House at West Chester, and 23 miles from Philadelphia;
Taken in execution and to be sold as the estate of William Eachus, senior, by
CHARLES DILWORTH, Sheriff.

April 26, 1765.
WAS stolen last Night, out of the Stable of the Subscriber,
living in Aston Township, Chester County, a likely bay Horse,
7 or 8 Years old, has neither Brand nor Ear mark, 14 Hands and
a Half high, lately shod all round, trots and paces, both
middling hard, but mostly trots when drove out of Hand; has a
Half Star and a Half Snip under the off Nostril, several
Saddle Spots, with several other little white Spots on him,
one of which, on his off Buttock, very remarkable, occasioned
by the bite of another Horse; when stolen, his Tail middling
long, but it may be bobsince; his Mane not trimmed only for
the Bridle; he was in good flesh, and carries a good Coat.
Whoever takes up and secures the said Horse, and Thief, so
that he may be brought to Justice, and the Horse had again,
shall have THREE POUNDS Reward, and all reasonable Charges, or
THIRTY SHILLINGS for the Horse, only, paid by JOHN << RATTEW>> .

of the TENTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY of the
COMMONWEALTH of PENNSYLVANIA.

The several reports, read March 8th and 31st last, respecting the robberies
of Daniel Morton, Aaron Phipps, John Davis, Jacob Worrall, David Cloyd,
Robert Thompson, John << Rattew>> , Benjamin Worrall, Jonathan Thomas, Abner
Evans and John Brown, collectors of public monies in the county of Chester,
were read the second time, and committed.
