CAUTION
Whereas my wife Elizabeth, is in the habit of running me in debt,
unnecessarily, and otherwise treating me in an unbecoming manner- this is to
caution all persons not to trust her, on my account, as I am determined to pay
no more debts of her contracting hereafter.

Robert Jack, Brandywine Township, Jan. 2, 1819 25-st.

American Republican, January 12, 1819
Friend Mowry,
I observe in your paper of last week, an advertisement of my husband's,
stating that I have run him in debt, and treated him otherwise
disrespectfully. But this may inform the public, that almost seven years ago
he left me, and left a considerable debt behind, which I have long since
discharged, and at this time, I am nothing in debt on his account, nor
otherwise- and that he has never acted the part of a husband to me, and until
now, was he in the neighborhood since, during that time. But dissipation and
indolence is his chief pride, and likely to remain with him; and I am
determined to pay no more of his debt and forewarn all persons of crediting
him hereafter.

Elizabeth Jack, Jan. 8, 1819 26-st.
