SURRENDERS TO POLICE

OXFORD, Pa., May 15. (U.P.) A teen-aged farmhand, who shot his employer
because "I wanted to take his car and go south," surrendered to State Police
last night.

Sixteen-year-old Clarence Bortz, Allentown, said he had been hiding in an
abandoned barn about a mile from the farm of Graham Delp, 40, whom he
allegedly shot last Wednesday night.

Delp was struck in the left arm as he returned home from West Grove Hospital
after visiting his wife and new baby. His condition was described
as not serious today.
