FELONIOUS SHOOTING CHARGED

Mrs. Annie Stanley Will Come Before Alderman For Using Gun On Gallitzin Man.

  Mrs. Annie Stanley of near the Three Culverts, better known as "Dutch Annie", 
will be accorded a hearing before Alderman John C. Gorsuch of the Third ward on 
Tuesday evening at 8 o'clock on the charge of felonious shooting, the woman 
painfully wounding Alvin T. Buck of Gallitzin several weeks ago when the Pennsy 
work train with which the young man was connected pulled up near the former's 
residence at Twenty-fourth street.  Mrs. Stanley is now out on $500 bail, for 
her appearance before the city magistrate.
  Buck, it will be remembered, was shot through the right leg near the knee by a 
22 calibre rifle by Mrs. Stanley while the young man was standing in the door of 
one of the coaches.  He was later removed to the Altoona hospital for treatment 
and was just discharged from the Trainmen's ward this week.

FINED FOR DISORDER.

Charles L. Matlock, Colored, Before Mayor For Making Trouble in Restaurant.  

  Charles L. Matlock, colored, arrested on a drunk and disorderly charge 
following an altercation in the Chicago Quick Lunch at Eleventh avenue and 
Seventeenth street, was accorded a hearing yesterday afternoon before Mayor 
Charles E. Rhodes, the defendant being fined $5 and costs.
  John Lutz, arrested for permitting his horse to destroy shade trees along the 
avenue, forfeited his security of $5 by failing to put in an appearance in 
police court yesterday.
  John Ickes was taken into custody last evening at 7:25 o'clock at Bridge 
street by Cornerman Mock on a drunk charge.  Thom Goodall was picked up during 
the afternoon at Broad avenue and Twenty-fourth street for the same offense.  
Both will face the mayor today.

ALDERMANIC COURT NEWS

Cases Heard and Pending Before Magistrates of the City.

  The three boys who attempted to steal a joy ride in the car belonging to 
George Rhodes, Monday afternoon, and succeeded only in damaging it, we haled 
before Squire Fickes, of Lakemont, and discharged with a reprimand.  They agreed 
to pay the costs and the extent of the damage done the car, $39.10.
  Of the nine youths arrested on last Saturday evening at Lakemont park, only 
three were held for a hearing before Squire Fickes.  It was proven that the 
other six had had no connection with the rowdyism charged against the trio.  The 
hearing was held last evening when the three boys agreed to pay a fine of $5 and 
costs.  They were then dismissed with a reprimand.
