John Vehoc, Aged 16, Glen White, Frightened by Engine and Suffers Injury

Frightened by the Whistle of a locomotive whistle walking along an
embankment between this city and Kittanning Point, John Vehoc, aged 16, a
Glen White schoolboy, fell thirty feet and escaped with injuries to his left
hip, at 6:55 last evening.
Young Vehoc was brought to Altoona and admitted at 11 o'clock last night.
His hip was badly contused but no fracture was found and he will likely be
able to return home this morning. The youth said he was on his way home and
the sudden shriek of the engine whistle startled him so that he lost his
balance and slipped over the bank before he could recover himself.
